"Tamkeen" Platform to Bring Educational and Training Courses to Young Students in Syria.

Who says that war kills creativity?

Syrian student Sami Al Siori founded the Tamkeen platform, an online training platform offering young Syrians in war-stricken areas free education courses collated from international universities. Training and taking the courses is completely free, whereas obtaining certificates from British institutes is an option, with a reasonable fee.

Al Siori believes that Tamkeen is more than just a training platform; it is a place to invest in the energy of young Syrians, to connect them with experts and educators across the world, and to help feel hopeful about their futures.

Thirty volunteers, who facilitate over 10,000 beneficiaries of Tamkeen’s free courses, operate the platform. The platform provides 300 hours to training to more than 20 teams in various Syrian territories.

Tamkeen provides students with online virtual classrooms that closely resemble on-ground classes, where a trainer teaches students who wish to develop their skills in various intellectual, economic and social fields.

Al Siori hopes to expand his project to include as many young Syrian as possible, to develop its educational content further, and to enhance the quality of the services provided. Al Siori also hopes to apply his model in other conflict-affected countries.

Al Siori proves that the cry of war cannot stifle the cry of hope.

Make hope… Make a difference
